2013mayGreetingsMAY 2013 LIVE WELL NEWS
Greetings friends of Live Well Ferguson!

The award-winning Ferguson Farmers Market will celebrate its eleventh delicious season with the opening on May 4. This Saturday morning tradition brings you fresh fruits and veggies picked within 24 hours of the market and brought directly to you by the friendly farmers who grow them. Enjoy live music in a festive, family atmosphere and discover a wide variety of fresh and tasty food booths with edible delights. Connect with the farmers and make the Ferguson Farmers Market your farm fresh destination on Saturday mornings from 8am-noon at Victorian Plaza (20 South Florissant Road). Come for the farmers. Stay for the fun!

Race registration will be available at the Ferguson Twilight Run booth at the market during the May 4 Opening Day and again on May 11 and during the May 18 Health and Wellness Fair! Click here to see a television story of how Live Well Ferguson, the Ferguson Twilight Run and the Ferguson Farmers Market are addressing health disparities in our region.

The market farmers aren’t the only ones growing their own healthy foods. Students at several Ferguson schools including Central Elementary, Griffith Elementary, Johnson-Wabash Elementary and Ferguson Middle are growing their own edible schoolyards! Join the local food movement and test out your green thumb by growing food in your own backyard!

Live active! Live healthy! Live well!
